About
Our designer Bryan wanted Drausi to feel like it strived to embrace the dreamlike state of tired minds and abstract thoughts, encouraging its users to see these patterns as something to be welcomed and comforted by. He married motion graphics, abstract shapes and patterns, fine line detail, a touch of whimsy, and some snippets of photography to emulate the feeling of the kinds of visuals that form when one is nodding off, but not quite fully enveloped by REM sleep. Branding a fictional app like this from scratch can be an important exercise in pushing for subtle messaging in our storytelling work, something that our clients come to us for. It allows us to take our presentations and designs into new, creative directions that take viewers on journeys, and are just as much to entertain as they are to promote.
